NSRC BuilD Club

A team of NSRC members created our very own Build Club devoted to the practice of construction of a variety of ham radio related gear. Shown below are images of some of the kits on the list for what may be built this year. Email Udo Koch (buildclub@ns9rc.org) if you would like to participate in one of these experiences.

We had our kickoff meeting on March 19th, 2025 and the first Build Club groups were formed. You still can sign up and participate. There will be activities throught the year in small build groups to support individual needs depending on their skills.

This year we will try to create hands-on activities where we build some simple but useful kits. Some of these kits are created by me, other can be bought from commercial outlets. The building activities will take place in the Collaboratory in the library. Because we have to limit the number of participants per session to 6, you will have to reserve a slot for the meetings during the year. Please fill out the form and send it to me to participate.

Build meetings will be the first Wednesday every month by appointment. If needed I can add additional days to the schedule.

The skill level for kits is expressed as levels from 1 to 5.

Level 1 - Total beginner, no electronics knowledge required

Level 2 - Beginner, basic Electonics skills, basic soldering

Level 3 - Medium Electronics skills, good soldering

Level 4 - Advanced electronics skills, good soldering

Level 5 - Expert electronics skills and very good soldering

Our kits are offered for NSRC Build Club members only and sold without profit at cost.
